July – one of the most active and fun months of the year at your Club. The three biggest events are:
Dellwood Invitational, our premier member/guest golf event, July 9-11. We are looking forward to providing a very memorable event for our members and their guests. The Shoot-Out, to determine which team wins the all-expenses paid golf trip for four to PGA West, will begin at about 2:30 pm on Saturday. If you are not playing in the event, please be aware that the pool will close on Friday July 10th at 4:00 pm for the Invitational formal dinner. We still have room for a couple more teams if you would like to bring a guest out and experience all that Dellwood has to offer!
Dellwood Summer Fun Day, July 19th from 4:00 pm to 10:30 pm. The pool, driving range and practice areas will be dedicated to providing a super fun day of games, activities and events. Check out the events page for details and join us as we cap off the day with a spectacular fireworks show! After 4:00 the Club will only be open to those participating in the event.
Dellwood Mercedes Championship and Big Break for Cancer, July 28th and 29th. This is the 12th year of the event and we have raised over $100,000 for the University of Minnesota Masonic Cancer Center over the years. Our goal is to raise $20,000 this year and we have added a new event to help get us there – the Big Break for Cancer Golf Skills Challenge on July 28th at 6:00 pm. Compete in five golf skills challenges that evening and become our first Big Break Champion! The Big Break Challenge is open to members and guests so join us for an evening of fun competition with all of the proceeds going to cancer research. We are also hoping to fill the field the following day for the Mercedes Championship, a two person best ball event with the winners qualifying for the national Mercedes all-expenses paid tournament. I hope all of you are enjoying the Club and our many amenities. There are still a lot of open dates for the pontoon boat on White Bear Lake. Call the office if you would like to reserve it over the summer. The golf course is in great shape and the pool is rocking as always. We just put out our newest line of women’s clothing in the Golf Shop – Ella Bella! Stop in and check out all of the latest fashions and golf equipment.

Please do not park on highway 96, you could get ticketed. Should you be unable to find a parking spot please feel free to park on the grass.
Mark your calendars – the pool will close at 4:00 pm on August 3rd for our annual employee day. Employees and their families will be treated to a BBQ dinner and an evening at the pool in appreciation for all they do for us every day of the year. If you are interested in working that evening I am looking for about 6-8 members to help set up, serve food, serve drinks and clean up. Let me know if you are interested!
We have Golf memberships available. If you sponsor a new golf member and they join you get a month of no dues. We are also accepting Dining members (initiation is $2,000 and monthly dues are $50). The Athletic membership had some attrition last month so we have a few new members joining in the Athletic category from the waiting list. Please welcome them to the Club.
