I wish to extend a very sincere Thank You to all who gave money to support the on-going education of our employees through our Employee Scholarship Fund. You have no idea how much it means to them and how significant your contributions are in enhancing the lives of our employees (See pages 4 and 5).
For the month of September we are reviving our membership drive for new golf members. If you refer a new member (who has not previously contacted us for membership information) you will receive $100 off of your monthly dues for one year! There is a great incentive to join our Club this fall. New Golf members (Executive, Individual and Family) pay no monthly dues until April of 2019 with payment of the full initiation fee. There are still a couple months remaining in the golf season to enjoy all that our Club has to offer and a great time to join. There is no limit to the number of members you can refer and get $100 off your monthly dues for each one that joins. Wouldn’t it be great to refer six new members and pay no dues for one year!
The 3rd Annual Dellwood Pro Duel is September 30th, with a 1:30 p.m. tee time. This unique event features our three golf pros playing against each other for top golf honors of the year. Members are encouraged to come out and watch them play, maybe heckle them a bit and place a few side bets along the way. The pros play for a pot of money donated by members. Think of the donation as a great way to thank our pros for all of the work they do throughout the season to provide us with continually great experiences playing golf. To donate simply call the office and let us know how much you would like to contribute. All members who donate $100 or more will receive one entry for every hundred dollars into a raffle to win one of two Unlimited Guest Passes for 2019 (each one has a $1,800 value). Additionally, everyone who donates at least $25 can pick who they think will win this year. All those who pick the winner will be entered into another raffle for a $250 credit on your September statement. Chris Peterson is our defending champion and hopes to have his name engraved on the trophy for the second year in a row! Come watch the action on September 30th.
I received exciting news from Club Corp. They have agreed to open up enrollment for Signature Gold memberships with no initiation fee throughout the month of September. The Signature Gold membership is $25 per month and available to all Executive, Individual and Family Golf members. Upgrading to Signature Gold allows you to play any Club Corp course and pay no guest fee (pay only the cart fee). Signature Gold membership includes two free meals per month at any Club Corp Business Club. You also enjoy the ability to make tee times at Club Corp courses up to 30 days in advance. If you are interested in upgrading from your current ClubBenefits membership to Signature Gold, simply contact the office and we will send you an application. Just another unique and valuable perk for being a Dellwood CC golf member!
Lastly, this may be the first year in history that one club had members who won both the Men’s and Women’s State Open Championships. Congrats to Andrew McCain and Olivia Herrick, the Men’s and Women’s State Open winners!
