Junior Golf
I know this is the time of year where parents are starting to get their kid’s summer schedules intact. Our Junior program will be close to the same as last year for age groups & the class types but we have changed a few lesson times and some basic curriculum. Please feel free to look in the Members Area on our Dellwood website for Junior golf ages and times or contact the Pro Shop with questions or signup (651) 426-4733.
Part of our “In-House” program is our Junior Golf Academy to accommodate for our more serious junior golfers. This program is forever evolving to best service their needs, so please look at this program to see if this pertains to your child.
Junior Golf Academy– Our Junior Golf Academy will consist of Junior golfers 10-17 years of age that have shown ability and understanding of the fundamentals and want to improve their game. There will be a competitive aspect to drive each Junior golfer to the next level of their game. Every Tuesday they will have 60 minutes of PGA instruction. This group will also have a 2-hour coaching session with instructors on Thursdays from 8:00am-10:00am consisting of ways to practice, drills, competitions, rules & situations, course management, and on-course instruction.
The Academy Group is limited to 15 Junior golfers so we can maintain quality attention to each student throughout the summer. We ask that in order for your child to participate in this academy that they are passionate about the game and always striving to improve. They should also be able to walk 9-holes while carrying or pushing their bag.
Also new for Junior Golf Tuesday’s is a Junior Tee-Time block from 8:15 – 9:00am Tuesdays off the first Tee. This is set up for BUT NOT LIMITED TO our Junior Academy golfers. We will ask that Juniors make their own tee times. Each junior can play with whom they want and if there are single Junior golfer’s looking to play, our professional staff will help them find a group. This is not a part of our Junior Academy but will have professional guidance if needed. We’re trying to encourage Junior PLAY and for them to learn the social aspects of the game. The number of holes played is up to the individuals.
PGA Junior League Golf- Eligibility for this league is for boys and girls ages 9-13 (can’t turn 14 before Aug 1st). This will be our 3nd year for this fun and growing traveling league. Junior Private or Semi-Private Lessons Available:
$180 /3 Hours – This can be broken down into 30 Minute timeslots and multiple golfers.
