May was packed with events and great weather for the WGG! Our 9 Hole Tuesday League and 18 Hole Thursday League are well under way. Please remember, you may jump in and join these leagues at any point in the season. Whenever you are available on Tuesday evening or Thursday morning, please feel welcome to sign-up.
The Women’s Traveling Team hosted the first match of the year at Dellwood on May 20th and got off to a fast start, outshooting North Oaks, Midland Hills and Town & Country. The home team of Sandy Martin, Sue Ryan, Justine Hawkinson, Kate Elfstrom, Dori Martinez and Maggie Batten have taken a solid 12- point lead in this first of 4 matches where points are cumulative. Great job to the team and many thanks to the Golf Shop and Dining staff who put together a terrific day of golf for our members and guests.
The ladies took 1st place in the Challenge on May 26th. Dellwood also hosted this event attended by North Oaks and the WBYC. Our first win in several years! Let’s keep this trend going ladies!
