Fall in Minnesota signals a change in habits and routine. But for Dellwood members this summer was a season of changing routines and adapting to our new clubhouse and facilities. We are creatures of habit and old habits can be hard to change. The remodel was completed four months ago and many are still trying to adjust to the location of the new Golf Shop, the new location of the Cart Barn/Bag storage, determining which area is best for dining (there are five different options!), how to use the Fitness Center and discovering how pleasant it is to sit outside in the Grill Patio and Courtyard. Trust me, in a year it will seem like the Club has always been like this.
This fall will be different as well and I encourage you to take advantage of our new amenities and adjusted operations. We will host a happy hour in the Bar from 4:00pm to 6:00pm every Wednesday, Thursday and Friday beginning September 16th. The Grill will feature lunch specials from 11:00am to 2:00pm every weekday afternoon and breakfast specials every Saturday and Sunday morning. Join us in the Bar for football specials all season long. The Fitness Center will be available to keep you in shape with fitness classes beginning again in October. The Golf Simulator will be installed in late October. Watch for leagues starting in November.
To help us provide services and activities that enhance your experience at the Club we will be sending a couple surveys out over the next month to get your feedback and ideas. Dellwood is a year-round club now and we want you to be actively engaged all winter. If you aren’t coming to the club at least once per week to dine, hang out or use the Fitness Center I would really appreciate your feedback on what we need to improve. If we aren’t your favorite place to dine, please let me know why!
The pool operations will change after Labor Day. Our lifeguards will all be returning to school so the lazy river will not be turned on after Labor Day. There will be no lifeguards so children under 14 must be accompanied by and supervised by an adult. The pool bar will also be closed after Labor Day. The pool will remain open as long as weather allows and members are using it.
Our membership continues to grow. We are offering fall membership incentives with no dues until next April and financing options for the initiation fees. Remember that if you refer a member who joins you will receive a month of no dues!
Looking forward to seeing you and continuing to redefine the way we all enjoy Dellwood Country Club.
