Clubhouse Updates

Summer vacation may be over, but everything at your club is still in full “swing”. The pool will remain open as long as weather allows and hopefully through September. The tennis courts are available and the golf course will be active for another two months (or more!). Check out the calendar for all of the activities in September and watch for the new menu that Chef Daniel will be introducing early in the month.

We continue to get several membership inquiries each week and have new members joining every month including three new golf members in August. Our total membership is 469 including 272 golf members. With initiation fees increasing in 2015 this is still a great time to join our club.

The clubhouse remodel plans have gone out for bid. Bids will be back in three weeks and we could potentially begin exterior construction of the three additions (new golf shop on the patio; enclosing the screen porch and expanding the exercise room) by the end of this month. This final phase of improvements will take about eight to nine months and be completed next spring when we redo the exterior (siding and roof) of the building.

In September we begin the process of replacing members of the Advisory Committee whose terms end in 2014. Mike Esch will be heading up the Nominating Committee. The Nominating Committee will meet in late September or early October to prepare a slate of nominees. The Advisory Committee is a vital element in the operations of our Club. The Committee provides member insights and recommendations to Club management and helps steer decision making with insights from a broad cross-section of our membership. If you have an interest in serving a three year term on the Advisory Committee please contact Mr. Esch.

As always, if you have any questions, comments or recommendations for our Club, please feel free to let me know!
