Letter From the General Manager

With fall upon us we have several weeks of the most beautiful golf of the year ahead. This is also a time of the year when membership inquiries increase as many clubs offer fall promotions and discounts to join. Dellwood’s fall incentive to join is pretty simple. For the remainder of the calendar year new members can pay the initiation fee of $2,500 (new members receive a personalized golf bag, four guest passes and $100 grill credit when they pay the initiation fee) and pay no dues until April of 2014. The new member must commit to membership through the end of 2014. The advantages of joining now are significant. Initiation will

increase in January to $5,000 (could go to $7,500 if demand is high). No dues until April, 2014.

If you have friends or know people who are contemplating joining, please let them know that this is the best time to get in before rates increase.

With the compressed golf season there have been many requests to extend the Equity Golf Passes that expire at the end of 2013. I am happy to inform those that have Equity Passes expiring in 2013 that they will be good through 2014.

The member Town Hall meeting on September 25th was very well attended (over 120 people) and generated significant excitement about the renovations happening this winter. If you have any questions regarding the changes coming please feel free to stop in or call me. A separate communication will be sent out detailing the key points of the meeting.

The Advisory Committee has begun the process of replacing the members whose terms expire this year. The Nominating Committee will be chaired by Rick Dunn and will spend the next month looking for members interested in serving on the  Advisory Committee. Should you have an interest please contact Rick Dunn or Dennis Countryman.

We are making good progress on the golf course. Cart paths are installed on the back nine. The back nine will re-open next week at which time the front nine will close for about two weeks while we install cart paths and begin work on the new bunkers. The entire course will always be open for play on Saturdays and Sundays.
