It is so nice to see Dellwood busy with so many golfers. Women’s Tuesday nights and Thursday mornings have been very popular. Remember, you do not need to have a group to play with. Just sign up on ForeTees and other women will fill in.
It’s hard to believe it is already July. Some things to be aware of this month are the Senior Championship, Saturday Morning Mixers and the 9 Hole Guest Day on July 23rd. The theme is Wild Wild West. This is a very popular event so if you plan on playing, sign up soon. Unfortunately, our Women’s 18 Hole Guest Day was cancelled due to rain. It has been rescheduled for Aug. 8th, with an 8:30 am shotgun and lunch to follow. The theme is still Vegas Golf Party and the committee has worked hard and has many fun and exciting things planned. So, invite a guest and sign up soon and let your guests experience a fun day at Dellwood.
Our Women’s Solheim is scheduled for Aug. 1, at 8:30 am. This is one of the most fun events of the year. We play 3 formats, with a different playing partner for each 9 hole match. Best ball, scramble and alternate shot. Because each 9 holes is Match Play, generally you finish before you reach the 9th hole. So, even though we say 27 holes you will play somewhere between 15 and 27 holes. Sign up on ForeTees. We have to have even foursomes, so you may be on a wait list until the foursome is filled. The teams will be picked on the evening of Tuesday, July 30.
