WGG Update

As I look outside at our snow covered landscape, I chuckle at the irony that my first attempt at reporting the news for Women’s Golf Group has fallen in the first month of the course being closed for the season. The snow has barely fallen and already I long for the green fairways and the promise of a cold beverage at the halfway house.

The Women Golfers wrapped up the 2014 golf season with what was arguably THE PREMIER Halloween event of the season, The 2nd Annual Glow Ball Tournament! It was a dark, chilly night with a cold northern wind sweeping across the course . . . definitely not for the faint of heart! Our dedicated Dellwood lady golfers came out in full force with over 30 participants. The costumes were spooktacular and the fun meter was tapped out as they made the most of the last group activity of the year. A special thanks to our Dellwood golf staff and grill staff for creating a truly memorable event!

The inclement weather may have put a damper on golf, but not our spirits! The WGG members are in the midst of planning the 2015 activities, tournaments and events. Heading up the charge is our fearless leader, Sue Ryan. A very special thanks on behalf of the entire WGG to Sue for agreeing to take the reins for a second year as our President! Exciting changes are underway for our 2015 calendar. There will be something for everyone, and as always the goal remains to create a fun, competitive and great social experience for golfers of all skill levels.

In closing, I wish each of you a very magical holiday season!
