August . . . it’s “The Month of Champions!” This is the time of year we get the first sense of our season starting to wrap up. Hopefully we will move through September and into October with more great opportunities to play.
The Women’s Golf Group jumped right in to competition in August with our Women’s Senior Club Championship August 6th and 7th. Congratulations to our Gross Champion: 1st Place – Sue Ryan; and our Net Champion: Barb Countryman.
Our Formal Women’s Guest day was August 11th. Once again our plans were derailed by rain for the second year straight! Next year we should be able to count on a glorious day . . . we are overdue!
Our Women’s Club Championship was played August 13th & 14th following are the results:
Championship Gross: 1st Place – Sue Ryan, 2nd Place – Kitty Considine;
Championship Net: Cathy Poechman, and 2nd Place Net – Sandy Martin.
CONGRATULATIONS to the Women’s Traveling Team players who closed out the season today at North Oaks with a decisive win!

September will be kicked off with our Labor Day Classic, September 2nd & 3rd. The Derby is September 17th. The WGG Fall Closer and Banquet is September 20th. The Mercedes Ladies Shotgun is September 22nd. The Dellwood Cup Playoff is September 27th.
Heads up! The pro shop has planned a great event for October! On the 6th we will be taking a bus to Brainerd for the day to play Maddens! We still have a few slots available, so if you are interested, contact the pro shop to reserve your spot!
